Louise Martin new Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) President

CSDA would like to join the rest of the Commonwealth family to congratulate Ms. Louise Martin on becoming the first female President of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).
Ms. Martin recently presented at the Trinidad and Tobago International Sport Conference 2015 held in Trinidad and produced by CSDA, the Ministry of Sport and the Tourism Development Company.
 
Ms. Martin, chair of SportScotland has served the CGF as Honorary Secretary since 1999 and was the vice-president of Glasgow 2014 described as one of the best games to date.
 
Martin was able to convince voting delegates that her plans to increase income through commercial sponsorships so that more funds could be provided to Commonwealth Games Associations and bolster participation would be feasible and a positive way forward.
 
CSDA looks forward with enthusiasm to working along with the Ms. Martin and the CGF in the advancement of Sport and development through Sport.
