CSDA is committed to ensuring children have opportunities to participate in a safe and enjoyable sport environment, through our Child Protection and Safeguarding program.
The Caribbean Sport and Development Agency (CSDA) is an NGO based in the Caribbean, working in the field of sport for development. CSDA has committed to take the lead in the collaboration of agencies within the Caribbean region to build a framework for safeguarding in sport and physical education. This system is based on the best practices learnt from UK Sport, the NSPCC and other regions via the ICES network. This questionnaire has been adapted from a survey used in The University of Edinburgh & NSPCC Child Protection Research Centre’s study "The Experiences of Children Participating in Organised Sport in the UK".
Through the use of this questionnaire we seek to gather information to address the gap in literature about harm to children participating in sport within the Caribbean. Data collected will provide information that will assist in the development of policies and procedures towards the protection of children in sports and physical education.
This questionnaire is separated into the following sections:
- Background Information
- Emotional and Bullying
- Physical Abuse
- Drug Abuse
- Sexual Abuse
Kindly assist us by completing this survey. We greatly appreciate your time!
